Information You Submit
Search Terms
A name or location entered into a search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. Marshall County Recent Arrests does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages
Email and contact submissions are retained as needed to answer the sender. They are not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected
Normal web logs and analytics may collect limited technical details when a page loads, including:
- Internet Protocol address;
- browser name and version;
- device class and operating system;
- pages viewed and time spent;
- the referring website, when supplied; and
- request timestamps.
Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can reject or delete cookies, though some functions may behave differently when cookies are blocked.
How Data Is Used
- Operate and improve site performance;
- send search requests to the selected partner;
- measure which content is useful;
- diagnose and correct technical faults; and
- display advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Policies on Linked Sites
Links may lead to sheriff, jail, corrections, court, government, or third-party search resources. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy terms control its collection and use of data.
Some advertising partners may measure activity across websites to select ads. That tracking occurs on their systems, not on this site's records.
When Data Is Shared
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be available to:
- search partners processing a query;
- analytics providers;
- advertising networks; and
- law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.
Security Measures
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security or guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Visitors Under Eighteen
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. Contact us to request deletion if a minor submitted information.
Your Privacy Choices
- Ask for a copy of personal data held;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- ask for deletion where applicable; and
- opt out of certain processing where the law provides that right.
